Excellence In Horsemanship
When you visit our site, you'll notice the phrase "Excellence in Horsemanship" as our motto. As and introduction to us, who we are and, perhaps more importantly, who we are not; this phrase says it all.
We are experienced, knowledgeable, honest horsemen that have a long history of producing sound, healthy, and happy horses. We put the horses first, always, even if it means we sometimes disagree with popular opinion. We are not new to the horse world, we are not here just to make a buck, and we are not "figuring this out" as we go.

Beautiful Facilities in a Beautiful Setting
Situated on 112 acres of rolling hills and woodlands near Watts Bar Lake, Runaway Farms offers a peaceful atmosphere for horses and people alike to enjoy. Our facility was designed for the safety and comfort of the horses living here; ample turnout with sturdy horse-specific fencing and big, solidly built stalls keep our horses happy and safe. A bright covered riding arena, John Lyons roundpen with all-weather footing and miles of trails provide numerous opportunities for conditioning and training. Extra touches like our individual tack lockers, climate-controlled tack cleaning area with coffee station, in-barn restroom with shower, and indoor wash bay with hot and cold water make time spent at the barn more enjoyable for our human clients, too!
Boarding and Dressage Instruction
We offer custom boarding options on a limited basis to ensure the best possible care for your horse. Please contact us to discuss your individual needs.
Dressage lessons and training sessions for boarders or clients who would like to trailer-in are scheduled weekly.* Please contact us for additional information and scheduling.
Are you a trainer looking for a great facility to work out of? We are accepting trainer applications for Dry Stall Rental - 4 stall/6 month minimum commitment. Contact us for details.
*We get a lot of inquiries about trail rides and riding lessons for those who do not have their own horse. These are not services that we provide.
Sport Ponies
Runaway Farms has bred quality ponies for sport since 2002. We are a small, boutique breeder focused on producing healthy, sound ponies with excellent temperament and movement for dressage.

Lessons, Training and Show Coaching
Please arrive ahead of your scheduled time to ensure that you are prepared to start and end your session on schedule.
Private Dressage Lesson

45 minutes of private instruction at our facility, on your horse.
Horse Training Session

Private training session for your horse. Includes training rides, lunging, in-hand, or groundwork sessions. Does not include grooming/tacking before or after work session.

Show Coaching - Local Schooling Show

Schooling ring coaching and test calling. Price is per horse/rider combo. Ride times must be provided 24 hours in advance.
Show Coaching - Rated Show

Schooling ring coaching and test calling. Price is per horse/rider combo. Assistance with grooming and horse care at the show is provided when traveling with client.
Boarding
We offer custom boarding options on a select basis. Please inquire for availability.
Pasture Board
$ 350
Horses live outside in a group 24/7. They have safe fencing, clean water, trees for shelter, pasture during the growing season and hay in the winter.
Pasture Plus Grain
Inquire
Some horses just don't maintain their weight well enough on pasture and hay alone. With this option, you choose the grain you want and provide a mesh feedbag for your horse and we feed twice daily. Price is based on the cost of feed.
Day Stall

While changing their routines can be stressful and even counter-productive at times, we realize that sometimes things just happen. Stall use for 8am-5pm (we will clean after your use).
Overnight Stall

Self-Care Stall with Paddock

Self-care option for one who has the time and desire to feed and care for their own horse every day, just not the property. Owner provides feed, hay, and commits to daily feeding and stall cleaning.
Stall with Paddock

A full-care boarding option with private turnout in attached paddock. Includes daily stall cleaning, mixed grass hay and two feedings of the grain of your choice.
Full Care Board - Main Barn
$ 700
A full-care boarding option with group turnout in large pastures. Option for oversized 14x14 stall. Includes daily stall cleaning, mixed grass hay and three feedings of the grain of your choice.

All recurring payments are due before 4pm on the first day of the month. Lesson payments are due at time of lesson.
